La Estrella coffee will infuse a vibrant, warm richness to your day.
To set the tone, let this imagery transport you to the Acevedo region of Colombia, where this coffee was grown:
"From many farms one can literally watch the cold air accompanied by billowing, moist clouds, roll from the jungle overtop the farms." - our importers Collaborative Coffee Source
The region of Acevedo is known for its variety of super interesting coffees because of its various microclimates. The altitude and the cool nights make for sweeter, more complex cups.
This specific coffee, La Estrella, is a microlot that placed in the top 20 of the Acevedo Cup competition - an annual event that brings together the entire community of specialty producers in the micro-region of Acevedo. The feedback provided by international judges is invaluable to producers, and placing in this competition is a great honour for any grower. Also, the top producers receive a premium on the price of their coffee, as La Estrella did. Which makes us proud too.
